Retalix Launches Module to Help Retailers Ease Burden of Tracking, Collecting Promotional Dollars
Retalix Billback Manager Automatically Tracks Supplier Incentive Monies for Retailers
Dallas, TX, April 17, 2007 Retalix® Ltd. (NasdaqGS: RTLX), a global provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for food retailers and distributors, announced today the release of Retalix Billback Manager, an integrated module of Retalix Category Analyzer.
Retalix Billback Manager tracks the performance of an agreement between the retailer and the supplier based on sales, purchases, or other promotional incentives. It eliminates the cumbersome process of manually tracking sales by individual suppliers during a specific time period. Once an agreement is made between retailer and supplier, Retalix Billback Managers rules-based tracking software which is tied to the Retalix Category Analyzer headquarters system that tracks movement of agreed upon items automatically generates an electronic invoice to be submitted to the grocers accounts receivable department to close the loop for earned promotional dollars from the retailers suppliers.
Dennis Hudson, vice president of retail services for Super S Foods, a 50-store, family-owned supermarket chain serving communities throughout South and Central Texas, said that Billback Manager filled a strategic need for a solution that integrated the companys pricing and movement data via Retalix HQ and Retalix Category Analyzer.
Billback Manager has exceeded our expectations, Hudson said. It has streamlined our communications with the vendor community and received high marks from them, while generating a significant reduction in our accounts receivable aging.
Billback monies are left on the table by grocers more than any other type of promotional dollar, said Ray Carlin, executive vice president, sales and marketing, for Retalix USA. Retalix Billback Manager allows retailers to deliver proof of incentives theyve earned without the headache of additional manual labor. Retalix Billback Manager is a module of Retalix Category Analzyer, which provides item movement reporting and analysis at the store and headquarters level. It expedites monies owed, tracks movement data that is readily accessible to complete invoicing, enhances gross margins and gross profits, and provides performance reports by item by store.
