Retalix, Microsoft and Intel to Host Demand-based Ordering Symposium
One-Day Seminar to Review Best Practices in Perpetual Inventory and Emerging Replenishment Technologies
PLANO, Texas - May 24, 2007 - Retalix USA (Nasdaq: RTLX), a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for food retailers and distributors, today announced it will hold a one-day seminar for executives of grocery and convenience stores to review best practices in demand planning and computer-generated ordering applications.
The symposium - hosted by Retalix, Microsoft and Intel - will offer retailers a valuable day of uninterrupted education, networking and roundtable discussions with industry leaders and subject matter experts who will demonstrate cost savings, revenue increases and happier customers by implementing demand-driven planning and execution.
Speakers for the invitation-only event on June 26 at the DFW Hyatt Regency
in Dallas, Texas, include:
* Brad Heyer, vice president of information systems for Casey's General
Stores, a convenience store chain with more than 1,450 sites throughout the
central United States.
* Roger Hebert, divison manager for Market Basket Food Stores, an
independent grocery chain based in Nederland, Texas, with stores located
throughout southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. Hebert has worked in
the grocery industry for 28 years.
* Mike Griswold, research director, retail sector, AMR Research. He directs
the firm's efforts on grocery trends, including perpetual inventory and
replenishment, space planning, pricing and overall category management.
Prior to joining AMR Research, he was director of supply chain operations
at Albertsons, where he was responsible for systems development for
forecasting and replenishment.
* Gil Roth, vice president, analytics and optimization solutions at Retalix
Ltd. Roth is the principal architect of the Retalix DemandAnalytX software
application used by leading retailers, manufacturers and wholesale
distributors to enhance supply chain management. He holds a Ph.D. in
operations research from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
* Tom Litchford, industry director, retail and hospitality, Microsoft
Corporation. He is responsible for leading strategy, planning and execution
in the retail and hospitality industries, as well as developing alliances
with industry solution developers.
