ampm Convenience Stores in Mexico Complete Rollout of Retalix Point-of-sale and Headquarters Software
Systems Installed in More than 100 Stores Across Mexico in Two Months
DALLAS June 25, 2008 Retalix® (NASDAQ: RTLX), a global provider of software solutions for retailers and distributors, announced today that the ampm convenience stores in Mexico have implemented Retalix StorePoint point-of-sale (POS) and back office software at more than 100 stores operating throughout Mexico. The fast-track rollout was completed in just two months and includes deployment of the Retalix headquarters solution for managing convenience stores.
We established an aggressive deadline to complete this rollout by the end of 2007, said Ernesto Avendaño Lührs, business information manager for ampm in Mexico. With the Retalix solutions extensive set of capabilities and integrated modules, combined with personnel that understand our industry, we were able to customize the system to meet the local taxing and reporting regulations and still finish the project well ahead of time.
Retalix StorePoint and its headquarters modules provide ampm with a complete end-to-end solution from the store counter to the chain headquarters. It includes scanning, cash and inventory management, centralized price management, sales reporting and margin analysis.
Retalix worked with IST in Mexico to provide hardware, project management and ongoing support for new store openings.
Our experience with multiple languages, currencies and tax requirements alongside a strong local partner in IST has enabled us to deliver faster, said Eli Spirer, executive vice president of operations for Retalix USA. The combination enables us to support the needs of retailers of all sizes in Mexico and Latin America who are seeking improved checkout performance and overall operational efficiencies like that of ampm.
