Sunflower Farmers Markets Blooms With Retalix Demand-Driven Replenishment Software

Natural and Organic Value Grocer Deploys Retalix DemandAnalytX (DAX)

DALLAS – Jan. 12, 2009 – Retalix® (Nasdaq: RTLX), a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for food retailers and distributors, today announced that Sunflower Farmers Markets, a Phoenix, Arizona-based independent grocer specializing in value-priced natural and organic products, is deploying Retalix DemandAnalytX (DAX) across the growing 20-store chain.

Retalix DemandAnalytX is a browser-based, demand forecasting and computer-generated ordering (CGO) solution that enables retailers and distributors to optimize inventory levels, increase product availability and reduce spoilage. The software application uses unique algorithms to interpret POS sales and inventory data, forecast store-level demand and optimize replenishment orders, for both supermarket and convenience store formats.

Retailers using Retalix DemandAnalytX have reported out-of-stock reductions of up to 80 percent, decreased inventory levels of up to 40 percent and spoilage of perishable products down by as much as 55 percent. These powerful results are the outcome of sophisticated algorithms developed specifically for the food retail business, and a holistic solution that manages all aspects of the ordering process – analytical, operational and reporting.

In addition to the current DAX implementation, Sunflower Farmers Markets recently completed the rollout of Retalix HQ/Store centralized pricing and merchandising system, as well as Retalix Category Analyzer and Retalix Bill Back Manager, which help retailers track item movement at the store and headquarters level, and streamline communications between the retailer and its suppliers. Sunflower Farmers Markets also uses the ScanMaster point-of-sale system from StoreNext Retail Technologies, a Retalix subisdiary.
